Condensation of Et 4-iodo-3,5-dimethylpyrrole-2-carboxylate with HCCR(R = Ph, morpholinomethyl) in Et2NH in the presence of Pd (PPh3)2Cl2 and CuI gave ethynylpyrroles I in 64 and 68% yield, resp.
