The combined organic extracts are washed with water, aqueous 0.2N hydrochloric acid solution, and brine. The organic phase is dried over magnesium sulfate, concentrated, and purified by flash chromatography (SiO2, 20% ethyl acetate/hexane) followed by recrystallization from methanol and water to give 0.42 g (27%) of the title compound, mp 194-196 C., 1438-16-0
